Mythbusters and James Randi

You may notice that the plant hooked up to a lie detector reads positive when you think about mangling the plant. Mythbusters challenged this finding by doing the test, which came out positive. The plant does respond to a lie detector test based on mental activity in a human nearby and the plant's reaction to it. Mythbusters said this must be fraud happening, and put the plant inside an electromagnetically shielded shipping container. The plant inside was protected from the magnetic thought and read nothing.

This is science. The shipping crate's magnetic protection likely repels electromagetic emotional effects produced by a human.
